WWT Slimbridge     An adult MEDITERRANEAN GULL with a near full hood on South Lake this morning. (Paul Masters). Also a Water Rail from Robbie Garnett hide. (Mark Hobson).

Frampton pools     Three Cattle Egrets sheltering from the wind on Court Lake island late afternoon. Five Sand Martins, two Great White Egrets and a Chiffchaff this morning. (Nick Goatman).

Kingswood, W-U-E     Three Bullfinches, a Little Egret, two Dippers, a Kingfisher and a Little Owl today. (Tom McCarthy).

Alderton     Five Lesser Redpolls and a pair of Blackcaps in the garden today. (Graham Tompsett).

Ashleworth Ham     Two Canada Geese, 70 Wigeon, 12 Gadwall, 150 Teal, five Mallards, ten Pintails, 28 Shovelers, three Tufted Ducks, a juvenile Peregrine, four Coots, a pair of Oystercatchers, 61 Lapwings, 64 Snipe, a Dunlin, Skylark singing and a Reed Bunting singing. Cobney Meadows     Two Canada Geese, 60 Wigeon, 15 Teal and six Curlews. (Mike Smart).

Winchcombe     Two Goldcrests collecting lichen as nest material from an old apple tree in the garden. (Gill Worthington).

My name is Mike King and have lived all my life in Gloucestershire. I am happiest birding around Frampton but I especially love Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
