Brimscombe The recently reported Golden Oriole seen again flying through at the bottom of Browns Hill and left of Knapp Lane at 2.45pm. Today’s sighting was between Brimscombe Port and Chalford, above London Road A419 (out of Stroud, going towards Cirencester), the river, the towpath and the railway line. Knapp Lane is off to the south of London Road, and Toadsmoor to the north – going up on the left side of Browns Hill, after Brimscombe Port and before Chalford. They call this the Golden Valley with lots of woodland on the hills. (per Angela Sturdee).
WWT Slimbridge The SPOONBILL visible from Mid Point but distant this morning. Also from Mid Point two Turnstones, four Sanderlings, 14 Knot, 5+ Grey Plovers, Ringed Plover, two Bar-tailed Godwits, 20+ Dunlins and a Wheatear. (Ian Hull/Mark Dowie).
Clapton-on-the-Hill This morning a GRASSHOPPER WARBLER reeling constantly and a Cuckoo. (Roger Gillespie).
Frampton At the Sailing Lake this morning an ARCTIC TERN dropped in and seven Common Terns. Also a Common Sandpiper, a Cuckoo, seven Shelducks and four Oystercatchers. (Nick Goatman). Two BLACK TERNS this afternoon and an unusual dark-billed presumed Common Tern. (Mark Dowie).
Gloucester An Oystercatcher flew low over Gloucester Docks calling at 7:15am. (Mark Hobson).
Coombe Hill Meadows This morning three Little Egrets, a Cuckoo, a Peregrine, a Green Woodpecker, two Jays, a Lesser Whitethroat, a Sedge Warbler, a Blackcap, two Oystercatchers, two Ringed Plovers, five Dunlins, two Curlews, c12 Lapwings, two Skylarks, Teal, Wigeon and a Greenfinch. (Chris Moore).
Forest of Dean At Nagshead a Firecrest, a Goshawk, two males and a pair of Pied Flycatchers, a Wood Warbler heard, a pair of Redstarts and a Treecreeper. At Crabtree Hill four Tree Pipits, two young Stonechats, a Wood Warbler and a Redstart both heard. (John Durell/Robin Griffiths).

Minchinhampton Three Swifts and three Swallows on the Common today. (James Kench).
Sharpness At 8:30pm a Little Owl at Saniger Farm SO672013 and a Tawny Owl heard in trees at SO673005 on the land of Oakhunger Farm. (Paddy Doyle).
