WWT Slimbridge At high tide this morning 85 Shelducks, a SPOONBILL, a Hobby, five Oystercatchers, 50 Avocets, 300 Dunlins, 26 Knot, 290 Curlews, a Whimbrel, two Common Sandpipers, four Turnstones and a Wheatear. The Curlew flock included at least six of the ringed head-started birds released at Slimbridge this summer. (Mike Smart).
