Symonds Yat At Yat Rock viewpoint today the resident Peregrine pair and an adult Peregrine on Great Doward Hill nearby, three Buzzards, a Raven, two Stock Doves, a Grey Heron, Swallows, House Martins, Long-tailed Tits and a female Mandarin. Other sightings included Small Tortoiseshell, Large White, Comma, Holly Blue, Red Admiral, Painted Lady and Speckled Wood butterflies, a Bank Vole, a Hummingbird Hawk Moth and a Fallow Deer. Bussage This evening at Toadsmoor large lake, Toadsmoor Valley, a Water Rail, four Blackcaps (3m, 1f), a male Bullfinch, a Marsh Tit, 15 Long-tailed Tits, a Treecreeper, two Swallows and c3 Tawny Owls calling. Also several Commas, a White Letter Hairstreak feeding on a thistle and later Daubenton’s Bat, Common Pipistrelle and a Noctule Bat. (Michael Cook).
