Cotswold Water Park West This afternoon until dusk at Shorncote Reedbeds eight Grey Herons, six Little Egrets, c40 Wigeon, c20 Teal, c70 Tufted Ducks, 350+ Lapwings over, a Snipe, two Water Rails seen and 8+ heard, a female Marsh Harrier mobbed by corvids at 3:10pm, a male Sparrowhawk, a pair of Kestrels, a Tawny Owl in flight at 4:35pm, a Barn Owl hunting from 4:38pm, a Kingfisher heard, c40 Redwings, c25 Fieldfares, a pair of Stonechats, a Grey Wagtail, six Long-tailed Tits, three Chiffchaffs, three Cetti’s Warblers, six Linnets and four Reed Buntings. Also a murmuration of 5000+ Starlings flew towards Keynes Park.
Frampton pools Two female Goldeneyes on Court Lake. Also around the pools 53 Tufted Ducks, nine Great Crested Grebes, 18 Mallards, six Gadwalls, 185 Coots, five Grey Herons, 28 Pied Wagtails, a Grey Wagtail, a female Blackcap and six Siskins. (Nick Goatman).
