Cotswold Water Park West     The BLACK-NECKED GREBE still on Pit 16 today viewed from the grassy bank off of Nightingale Way. 26 Red Crested Pochards and a drake Goosander on Pit 44. Four male Bullfinches, a Reed Bunting and a Cetti’s Warbler along the Thames Path by Pit 57. (MK). Pic by Mike.

Sharpness     The BLACK REDSTART still at the far end of Dock Road, beyond the buildings, in a compound. (Andrew Jordan).

Gloucester     The BLACK REDSTART still high up on Gloucester Cathedral today. (Paul Masters). Three Stonechats (1m, 2f ) at Plock Court near the small bull rush pond SO837203. At Horsbere FSA SO866189 birds included two Snipe, five Teal, 14 Mallards, a Little Egret, two Grey Herons, a Water Rail heard, male and female Stonechat, 36 Linnets and a Raven. (John Fletcher).

Calmsden     c15 Grey Partridges this morning, and three Short-eared Owls flushed by the Hunt. (Ian Hull).

WWT Slimbridge     A CATTLE EGRET on South Lake this morning and two Greenland White-fronted Geese in the Bottom New Piece, also an Egyptian Goose.

Saul     A CATTLE EGRET and 17 Little Egrets again late morning in the horse paddocks to the right of the Saul-Arlingham road approaching from Cadbury Bridge. (Vic Polley).

Stroud     A Dipper on the River Frome behind Fromehall Mill today. (Richard Williams).

Snowshill     No sign of the Great Grey Shrike again today but two Red Kites, two Buzzards, two Ravens, five Yellowhammers, 14 Fieldfares and a Mistle Thrush. (MK).

Roel Gate     50+ Chaffinches, 10+ Yellowhammers, a Coal Tit on stubble. Also two Red Kites and a Stoat. (MK).

Hawling     20+ Yellowhammers, two Red Kites, two Buzzards and 10+ Red-legged Partridges near Southdown Farm. (MK).

Forest of Dean    At Parkend at the church this morning two Great Spotted Woodpeckers, two Jays, 2+ Nuthatches, a party of 6-8 Long-tailed Tits, and a mixed tit flock including several Coal Tits and a Marsh Tit; also a Hawfinch in the tall trees west of the cricket pitch and a ringed Dipper (yellow above pale blue on right leg, red on left leg) on Cannop Brook south of the Fountain Inn. At Woorgreens Lake this afternoon a pair of Goosanders. (Andy & Sue Gibbons). At Cannop ponds on the lake at Upper Cannop 17 Mandarins (10m, 7f) and a Marsh Tit on the bird table, on the lower pond by the Stoneworks a Siskin flock by the bridge, Goldfinch and Nuthatch among the mixed tit flock, six Greylags and 22 Mandarins (14m, 8f).
