At Ledgemore 24 Meadow Pipits, a Grey Wagtail and a Coal Tit and a Teal flushed from Ledgemore Pond. At Vale Farm pools seven Greylags, a male Tufted Duck, a Little Grebe and two Chiffchaffs. At Avening a Coal Tit, at Gatcombe Water 12 Tufted Ducks. Also a Red Kite and ten Buzzards in the area. (Jake King).
