WWT Slimbridge A PALE-BELLIED BRENT GOOSE briefly on South Lake today. On the Rushy a drake GARGANEY, a Green Sandpiper, two pairs of Avocets nesting and a pair with a chick, a pair of Little Ringed Plovers, a pair of Oystercatcher, 60+ Gadwalls and a drake Teal. Slimbridge Wetland Centre will re-open on June 10. Members of the public and WWT members must pre-book online to visit so we can manage numbers. (Slimbridge Sightings).

Longney Upstream from Crib Lane late afternoon at low tide birds included two Peregrines that made a corvid kill, a Red Kite, eight Shelducks, nine Mallards, two Oystercatchers, a Pied Wagtail, five Skylarks, three Stonechats, two Swifts, four Swallows, two House Martins, two Song Thrushes and a Sedge Warbler.
