Coombe Hill Meadows This evening at least four Whinchats, a Little Ringed Plover, a Hobby, a male Wigeon, a female Teal and 28 Lapwings. (Richard Williams/Simon Ashley). This morning a juvenile Little Ringed Plover, a Whinchat with a Stonechat W of the scrapes, a Redstart heard, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Green Woodpecker and family parties of Bullfinches and Sedge Warblers. Emperor, Southern Hawker, Brown Hawker and Ruddy Darter dragonflies and a Clouded Yellow butterfly just W of the boardwalk. (Steve Brown).
Saul Warth On the falling tide late morning a Common Sandpiper, an Oystercatcher, two Grey Herons, 500+ Black-headed Gulls, a Cormorant, 36 Shelducks, a Grey Wagtail and two Skylarks. Three Little Egrets at Awre and four Mistle Thrushes at Fretherne. (MK).
