Coombe Hill Meadows Early morning from Grundon hide an unringed Common Crane, an adult Whooper Swan, nine Mute Swans, 490 Greylags, 245 Canada Geese and two Egyptian Geese all of these had left by 7:45am. Also this morning 126 Wigeon, two Gadwalls, 37 Mallards, nine Shovelers, five Pintails, a Teal, a Little Owl calling by the Wharf in the dark, two Meadow Pipits, 25 Fieldfares and two Stonechats. Cotswold Water Park East At the Pit 125-127 complex 200+ Tufted Ducks, 200+ Coots, 2000+ Black-headed Gulls on the roost early on, five Siskins over, two Ravens and six Cetti’s Warbler. (Ian Ralphs).
Halmore A Marsh Tit in the garden today, first sighting since January, and two Greenfinches. Also a flock of c120 Meadow Pipits and daily morning flights of up to c300 Canada Geese heading SW. (Chris Newton).
