At Cannop Ponds at 4:30pm a Dipper at the sluice by the stoneworks and two Grey Wagtails. On the pond opposite six Greylags, seven Coots, 17 pairs of Mallards and two males and 32+ Mandarins. (Christine Mora).
Nailsworth area At Calcot Manor a late Swallow, seven Stonechats, 1800+ Fieldfares, 40+ Redwings, 3+ Bramblings, 45+ Golden Plovers and 3,800+ Common Gulls going to roost. At Hazlecote Farm a late Wheatear still. (Terry Grant).
WWT Slimbridge The SIBERIAN CHIFFCHAFF still by the Willow hide singing in trees above the path. (Slimbridge Sightings).
Coombe Hill Meadows Eight Pink-footed Geese at 1:30pm but flew off S at 1:40pm. (Roger Gillespie). This afternoon 50 Canada Geese, five Shovelers, eight Snipe flushed from a ditch, 50 Fieldfares, eight Cormorants flew over and 12 Mute Swans. At 4:35pm the unringed Common Crane flew in from the NE landed and stayed until it was completely dark, and was obviously going to roost. (Mike Smart).
