Frampton    A male MERLIN on the foreshore from Splatt Bridge this morning. Also a Buzzard, three Little Egrets, two Kingfishers and a Grey Heron. (Keith Davies/Martin Price). Five CATTLE EGRETS and six Little Egrets over garden early this morning. (Nick Goatman). 26 Little and Cattle Egrets flew back over the village tonight. (Gordon Hodgson).

Cotswold Water Park West    A GREAT WHITE EGRET this morning near Cerney Wick, park at SU073954 walk down the footpath in the direction of Cricklade and view small fields to the N past the working quarry. Also a Little Egret and a Chiffchaff. (Duncan Dine/Andy Wiggins).

Purton to Sharpness     Birds included six Redshanks, five Knot, two Curlews, two Little Grebes, a juvenile Great Crested Grebe, two Cormorants and three Stonechats (1pr & 1f). (Mike Davis).

Tewkesbury     This afternoon at Bloody Meadow 100+ Redwings and 20+ Fieldfares. At Lower Lode 50+ Chaffinches going to roost in a large leylandii, also a Goldcrest and a Chiffchaff. (Les Ditchburn).

Nailsworth     Mid morning around the Inchbrook flood collection ponds, from the cycle track, a Little Egret, a Kingfisher, a Dipper on the adjacent brook, a Grey Heron and a Grey Wagtail. (Paul Sutton).

Gloucester    Today at Horsebere Flood Storage Area 28 Mallards, four Mute Swans, a Cormorant, five Moorhens, two Grey Herons, 33 Black-headed Gulls, a Sparrowhawk, four Stonechats, two Pied Wagtails, a Jay and c10-20 Blue Tits in the reedbeds. (Steve Mockford/John Fletcher).

Churchdown Hill     A Nuthatch next to the church, a Raven over, c20 Redwings and c20 Fieldfares. On nearby farmland 50-60 Meadow Pipits, 30-40 Pied Wagtails, c40 Redwings and a Buzzard. (Steve Mockford).
