Sherborne    This morning a large flock of 60+ Snipe on the water meadows, also a Water Rail and a Woodcock. Also a female MERLIN yesterday. (Anna Field).

Forest of Dean    A pair of Stonechats at the top of May Hill this morning. (Rob Guest). At Cannop ponds four Cormorants (3 ads, 1 juv), two Marsh Tits and numerous Coots today. (Martin Green).

Gloucester     At Lansdown Road this morning four Lesser Redpolls feeding on a silver birch with c12 Goldfinches. (Laurence Lucas).

Bishops Cleeve     A Snipe in a garden this morning for c10 minutes. (Steven Lightstone per Derek Lightstone). A Tawny Owl calling around the garden tonight. (Dawn Ballinger).

Frampton pools     A Crossbill over, two Blackcaps, two male Pintails, an adult male Goldeneye, 304 Coots, 125 Tufted Ducks, six Wigeon, 33 Shovelers, 43 Gadwalls, 33 Mallards, 11 Teal, 38 Greylag and four Canada Geese today. (Nick Goatman).

Dymock     A female Brambling and female Blackcap in the garden this morning. (Nick Fairburn).

Moreton-in-Marsh     At Draycott a Brambling amongst Chaffinches and Goldfinches in the garden this morning. (Sue Harrison).

Stonehouse     A female Stonechat at Stagholt allotments this afternoon. (Jon Dexter). At Stanley Downton a Raven, four Buzzards, a female Sparrowhawk, three Kestrels (1m, 2f), a Kingfisher again by Nutshell bridge on the canal, and a few Pied Wagtails. 25+ Siskins in trees along the River Frome by Beard’s Mill. Later c15 Siskins by the paper bag mill bridge. Also a pair of Song Thrushes, two Cormorants, a Green Woodpecker heard and six Roe Deer including a buck. (Paul Sutton).

Cotswold Water Park West     Good numbers of Red Crested Pochards on Pit 44 today including at least ten males. (Bruce Kettle).

Ampney Crucis    A male Yellowhammer, 60 Starlings, 20 Fieldfares, ten Redwings and a Great Spotted Woodpecker today. Also two Little Egrets and a Skylark between Ampney St Peter and Driffield. (Liz & Colin Kilpatrick).
