Aylburton Common This morning a ROSE-COLOURED STARLING landed on a house along Sandford Road briefly at 9:30am, then flew off S towards the river. Likely the one seen later at Oldbury PS, South Glos from 9:55am. (Jonny Gentle).
Winchcombe A HONEY BUZZARD disturbed from Langley Hill wood above Winchcombe at 6:10 pm this evening. It flew N towards Evesham and into Worcestershire. (Steve Owen).
Coombe Hill Meadows A QUAIL singing from early morning, again at midday and again at 7:15pm in the fields near to the car park. (Eric Harris/Paul Masters/Mark Dowie). Also heard calling yesterday. (Graham Smith). This afternoon two Curlews, dragonflies included Four-spotted Chasers, a Hairy Dragonfly, several Blue-tailed Damselflies and a Grass Snake in the canal. (Paul Clark).
Forest of Dean This morning at Nagshead, a Wood Warbler, two Garden Warblers and three Redstarts. At Woorgreens a juvenile Stonechat and at Crabtree Hill two Tree Pipits, two Redstarts, a Grizzled Skipper and a Dingy Skipper. (Vic Polley & Dave Pearce).
Sudeley Hill A QUAIL heard briefly in a wheat field today. (Andy Lewis).
Ashleworth Ham Birds this afternoon included two Curlews, 16 Coots, 33 Mallards, a Wigeon, male and female Tufted Duck, a Lapwing, 13 Mute Swans, 13 Greylags, five Grey Herons, a Little Egret, two Moorhens, a Cuckoo, two Bullfinches, two Blackcaps, three Chiffchaffs and four Whitethroats.
