WWT Slimbridge A HONEY BUZZARD, aged as a dark morph adult female, flew over the Tack Piece at 12:15pm and drifted SE towards Coaley Peak. (Colin Gittins per Terry Fenton).
Coombe Hill Meadows This morning two Great White Egrets on the scrape from Grundon hide late morning, along with two Little Egrets, two Black-tailed Godwits, three Curlews, a Grey Heron and nine Lapwings. A Cuckoo heard singing twice nearby, a Treecreeper and two juvenile Stonechats and a female Linnet along the canal. (Caroline Quinn).

Frampton pools At Court Lake the Ross’s Goose still present, a Bar-headed Goose and the Bar-headed Goose x Snow Goose hybrid and a pair of Great Crested Grebes with two young. (Martin Price).

Stonehouse & Eastington A Green Woodpecker and Great White Egret flying W over the canal at St Cyr’s Church, a Grey Heron at The Ocean, a Cetti’s Warbler between The Oceans and Bond’s Mill, a Kingfisher at Pike Bridge, a Sedge Warbler with at least two young on the River Frome near the Sewage Works and a Whitethroat singing at the Sewage Works.
