WWT Slimbridge    A HONEY BUZZARD, aged as a dark morph adult female, flew over the Tack Piece at 12:15pm and drifted SE towards Coaley Peak. (Colin Gittins per Terry Fenton).

Coombe Hill Meadows     This morning two Great White Egrets on the scrape from Grundon hide late morning, along with two Little Egrets, two Black-tailed Godwits, three Curlews, a Grey Heron and nine Lapwings. A Cuckoo heard singing twice nearby, a Treecreeper and two juvenile Stonechats and a female Linnet along the canal. (Caroline Quinn).

Gloucester     A Great White Egret in flight late this afternoon at Alney Island from the footpath at the Lower Parting, flying SW down the Severn. (Caroline Quinn). A Red Kite and Buzzard over E at Tuffley just before 1pm. (Mark Hobson).

Prestbury     A Cuckoo singing and a Curlew calling nearby. (Jeremy Squire).

Frampton pools     At Court Lake the Ross’s Goose still present, a Bar-headed Goose and the Bar-headed Goose x Snow Goose hybrid and a pair of Great Crested Grebes with two young. (Martin Price).

Cam     A Red Kite over at 2:45pm. (Jonathan Bull).

Forest of Dean    At Crabtree Hill today six Linnets, four Stonechats and three Tree Pipits singing and displaying. (Terry Stevenson).

Stonehouse & Eastington     A Green Woodpecker and Great White Egret flying W over the canal at St Cyr’s Church, a Grey Heron at The Ocean, a Cetti’s Warbler between The Oceans and Bond’s Mill, a Kingfisher at Pike Bridge, a Sedge Warbler with at least two young on the River Frome near the Sewage Works and a Whitethroat singing at the Sewage Works. Bishops Cleeve     A Green Woodpecker, currently a regular visitor to Bishops Cleeve cemetery. (Alan McIlquham).
