Saul Warth     78 Avocets this afternoon with seven Oystercatchers and eight Curlews. (Gordon Hodgson).

Coombe Hill Meadows     This morning a QUAIL heard in the South meadows 100mtrs from the carpark to first footbridge. From Grundon hide four Little Egrets, a Great White Egret, a Redshank, two Green Sandpipers, a Black-tailed Godwit, two immature Yellow Wagtails and a juvenile Stonechat. (Les Ditchburn/Mike Smart). Also two parent Moorhens with six small chicks and four juveniles certainly from an earlier brood. At times each of the four juveniles were feeding the smaller chicks. (Eden Tanner).

Minsterworth     A Red Kite over the River Severn at 2pm. (Geoff Fawcett).

Forest of Dean     A Barn Owl on the Angus Buchanan fields in Coleford tonight. (Geoff Fawcett).
