Forest of Dean    A Red Kite flew over Lower Lydbrook this morning at 11am. (Greg Jones).

Coaley     A Peregrine on the church today. (Paul Skirrow).

Gloucester     On Alney Island a Peregrine this afternoon at 3:30pm. (Simon Hart).

Coombe Hill Meadows     A QUAIL calling extremely close the the Grundon boardwalk and on North scrape, four Green Sandpipers and four Whinchats. (Les Ditchburn). Also a Whitethroat. (Nigel Young). Also three Mute Swans, a Teal, 50+ Mallards, six Grey Herons, six Little Egrets, four Coots, 30+ Lapwings, a juvenile Stonechat, 1-2 Reed Buntings singing and a Roe Deer. (Mike Smart).

Alvington     A Goshawk flew really low over the end of the garden at tree top level near Clanna Country Park. (Paul Woolams).

Cheltenham     At Park Campus an eclipse drake Mandarin today. Nearby two Green Woodpeckers in Tudor Lodge Road. (Steve Brown).

My name is Mike King and have lived all my life in Gloucestershire. I am happiest birding around Frampton but I especially love Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
