WWT Slimbridge A GREAT SKUA flew upriver at 7:35am, it flushed the SPOONBILL as it passed through and was lost to view over Hock Cliff. 45 Common/Arctic Terns, two BLACK TERNS and a SANDWICH TERN off Middle Point at 8:50am. At Middle Point over the high tide 250+ Dunlins/Ringed Plovers, four Bar-tailed Godwits, two Greenshanks, a Golden Plover, four Little Egrets, a Great White Egret and a SPOONBILL. Saul Warth A SHORT-EARED OWL at 2pm, then hunting distantly between the Warth and Splatt Bridge at the river’s edge. At high tide 18 Avocets, a Ruff, four Ringed Plovers, a Dunlin, a Sanderling, 50+ Curlews, four Little Egrets, two Teal, two Little Owls, 300+ House Martins, 14 Swallows, a Sand Martin, a Chiffchaff, two Grey Wagtails, 6+ Meadow Pipits, a Sparrowhawk and 70+ Goldfinches.
