Saul Warth     At high tide 28 Avocets, two Little Egrets, four Grey Herons, three House Martins, six Swallows, six Chiffchaffs, a Blackcap, a Grey Wagtail, a Wheatear, a Stonechat, three Meadow Pipits, 30+ Goldfinches, 7 species of butterflies including Small Coppers, Brown Argus and Brimstone. Cleeve Hill    Late afternoon c40 Meadow Pipits, a Redstart, two Wheatears, c10 Stonechats and Whinchats at three different sites. (Duncan Dine).

Coombe Hill Meadows     From Grundon hide three juvenile Stonechats, three Little Egrets, six Grey Herons, a Snipe calling, a Kestrel, 10+ Meadow Pipits, many House Martins and Swallows feeding and a Green Woodpecker calling. (Les Ditchburn).

Calcot and Chavenage Lane area     Two Stonechats, a Whinchat, a Willow Warbler, a Red Kite, a Wheatear and two Common Lizards, one juvenile. (Terry Grant).

WWT Slimbridge    A Water Rail and a Snipe from Zeiss hide today. (Alan Jones). Four Greenshanks and two Spotted Redshanks on the Rushy. (Dave Tait).

Stonehouse    A Dipper at Eastington. A Kingfisher at Blunder Lock and two at Bond’s Mill bridge, also a Green Woodpecker and a male Bullfinch at Bond’s Mill. A female Mandarin, a Little Egret and a Grey Heron at the Ocean. A Little Grebe, two Swallows, four House Martins and a juvenile Whitethroat nearby. (Paul Sutton).
