Nailsworth A fairly heavy movement of Fieldfares flying W between 1:35-3:35pm with a minimum of 1070 birds, also a female MERLIN being mobbed by crows also flying W. At Barton End at least 400 Golden Plovers circling over fields where a female Goshawk was hunting. Also belated news of 70 Fieldfares flying S down the Nailsworth Valley on the 30th October. Cambridge A female Kingfisher along the River Cam today. Also just off Ryall’s Lane near the Pumping Station four Greenfinches, a juvenile Little Grebe and two Buzzards. Several Mistle Thrushes along Ryall’s Lane and a Great Spotted Woodpecker heard at Tanglewood Farm. (Dave Abrams).

Calcot/Chavenage Lane area 350+ Fieldfares flew W this morning. Also 11 Stonechats and 1500+ Wood Pigeons. (Terry Grant).
Frampton At dusk this evening two Short-eared Owls and two Barn Owls from Splatt Bridge and two Little Owls by the church. (Colin Greenfield). At lunchtime at Court Lake, eight Fieldfares, six Redwings, two Siskins, a Treecreeper, 21 Wigeon, 67 Gadwalls, 40 Tufted Ducks and five Shovelers. (Nick Goatman). Also a male Bullfinch this morning. Alvington At Clanna Country Park early afternoon a Goshawk flew over heading E and a Red Kite flew high over heading W. (Paul Woolams).
Leckhampton A male Blackcap on garden feeders this morning. (Chris Furley).
Coombe Hill Meadows At least three Mute Swans, 160+ Greylags, five Canada Geese, 445 Wigeon, c10 Teal, four Gadwalls, 15 Mallards, three Pintails, 52 Shovelers, a Tufted Duck, two Grey Herons, two Lapwings, two Dunlin, 1 or 2 Skylarks over, 20 Pied Wagtails, a Stonechat, c80 Redwings, a Cetti’s Warbler, a Blackcap, a Chiffchaff and at least 1 Reed Bunting.
