Frampton pools At Court Lake early afternoon the Tawny Owl showing well in its roost tree, two Little Egrets, three Curlews flew over NE, 13 Fieldfares, five Redwings, 30+ Pied Wagtails, a Raven and two Cetti’s Warblers, a Siskin and a Nuthatch heard only. Also a Peregrine on a pylon two fields N of Court Lake near Fromebridge. (MK).

WWT Slimbridge Birds today included 400 Golden Plovers, 350 Lapwings, 70 Dunlins, 60 Shelducks, 13 White-fronted Geese, 55 Barnacle Geese, 100+ Teal, 270 Wigeon, 50 Shovelers, 35 Pochards, 55 Pintails, 190 Tufted Ducks, 31 Bewick’s Swans, a Grey Heron, a Great White Egret, a Little Egret, two Common Cranes, a Great Spotted Woodpecker and a Buzzard. Stonehouse This afternoon a Kingfisher at St Cyr’s Church/Boakes Drive along the canal. A Little Egret circled the drained Ocean then dropped to the River Frome. Three Redwings around the Church and a second Kingfisher on the canal at Ryeford. (Paul Sutton).
