Ashleworth Ham 110 Greylags, 90 Canada Geese, at least 400 Wigeon, at least 300 Teal, four Gadwalls, 100 Mallards, ten Pintails, 50 Shovelers, 150 Lapwings, at least three Snipe, c5 Fieldfares and three Roe Deer today. (Mike Smart).
Frampton A Cetti’s Warbler in the pool alongside the cricket pitch on Frampton Green at 4pm also Chiffchaff at Splatt Bridge and 15 Curlews over towards the Severn. (Mark Hobson). On the Sailing Lake a different adult Yellow-legged Gull, two male Pochards, 43 Tufted Ducks, five Great Crested Grebes and five Little Grebes. (Nick Goatman).
Saul Warth This afternoon five Chiffchaffs, 30 Chaffinches, a Grey Wagtail, a WATER PIPIT, 30 Meadow Pipits, 70 Siskins over W, two Avocets, three Grey Plovers, a Knot, 80 Curlews, 40 Dunlins and four Common Cranes over towards WWT. (Gordon Hodgson).
Edgeworth Along the Frome valley, a Goshawk, six Buzzards, a Grey Wagtail and a Peacock butterfly. Also 16 Golden Plovers towards Duntisbourne Abbots. (Chris Furley).
Gloucester A BLACK REDSTART still at the Cathedral at College Green at 2:40pm. Quite mobile but seen on buildings to the right as accessed from the Beatrix Potter shop. (Jeremy Squire/Helen Bojaniwska). At Horsbere Brook FSA this morning crows mobbing a Buzzard and a Raven over the fields between the lake and Chosen Hill. Several Stock Doves feeding with a large c120 flock of Woodpigeons on the adjacent farmland and c18 Skylarks foraging there also. (Caroline Quinn).
Stroud This afternoon four Dippers along the Frome, three along Fromebanks parallel with Dr Newton’s Way and one where the river runs parallel to the canal towpath between the railway viaduct and Bowbridge Wharf. (Caroline Quinn).
Kingscote At Croome’s Grove Farm at least eight Bramblings in a flock of c300 birds, mainly Chaffinches, on a Sunflower field corner where the B4058 intersects with the road going down to Uley. (Vic Polley).
Netheridge Farm Around the Netheridge/Rea Lane area including the Lapwing which flew S calling, a Mistle Thrush singing, two Jays, four Red-legged Partridges, two Ravens, five Stock Doves, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Green Woodpecker and ten Snipe today. (Mark Hobson).
Sharpness/Purton Late afternoon today a Little Grebe on the canal, a pair of Ravens and two Rock Pipits at SARA. (Ian Ralphs).
WWT Slimbridge Birds today included eight Cattle Egrets, 280 Black-tailed Godwits and four Knot, three adult Greenland White-fronted Geese, three Dark-bellied Brent Geese and a Marsh Harrier hunting. (Magnus Carter/Roy Kinchin).
Compton Abdale At least two Red Kites, two Buzzards, a Kestrel, a Yellowhammer, a Jay, 6+ Chaffinches and a small group of Long-tailed Tits. Also, 13 Roe Deer running together across the field and leaping the fences. (Andrew & Gill Worthington).
