Pillhouse Rocks, Tidenham     A WATER PIPIT in Sturch Pill at ST 56745 95026 at 12:20pm then flew off long, calling, towards Severndale Farm. Also a Curlew, a Redshank, two Snipe and ten Lapwings. (MK).

Gloucester     At Horsebere Brook flood storage lake male and female Stonechat, a male Reed Bunting, a Little Egret, a pair of Mute Swans and a Buzzard over this morning. (Paul Sutton).

WWT Slimbridge    On the Tack Piece three PINK-FOOTED GEESE, three Greenland White-fronted Geese and three Snow Geese today. (Slimbridge Sightings).

Slimbridge     At least nine Little Egrets in the field over the canal near the Tudor Arms pub at Shepherd’s Patch. Also at least five Cattle Egrets in fields next to Slimbridge village near the pumping station. (Slimbridge Sightings).

Brookthorpe     At Upton Lane orchards early evening birds included a Little Owl, a Tawny Owl calling, two Redwings, a Green Woodpecker and a Buzzard heard. (John Fletcher).

Coombe Hill Meadows     Three male drumming Great Spotted Woodpeckers, a Great White Egret, a Skylark in song, four Yellowhammers and 5+ Bullfinches, Greenfinch and Goldfinch along the canal and a Water Rail by the hide. (Ian Hull/Paul Clark).
