Slimbridge     This afternoon at Shepherds Patch the GLOSSY IBIS again by the Dutch barn next to the canal at SO 72740 04303. Please park sensibly roadside or in the free car park before the bridge SO 72895 04128. (Paul Masters/Andy Chapman).

WWT Slimbridge    27 Avocets on South Lake and five Oystercatchers around the grounds. (Paul Masters/Andy Chapman). A MERLIN from the Van de Bovenkamp hide. Also two PINK-FOOTED GEESE with the White-fronted Geese. (Greg Mabbett/Dot Jones). A male Goldeneye and two Egyptian Geese on South Lake. (Helen Bojaniwska).

Hazleton    At least 80 Bramblings, 20 Fieldfares, a Raven and a Red Kite today at SP 07440 18716. (Della & Hayden Lack).

Coombe Hill Meadows    A Great White Egret, a Peregrine, a Cetti’s Warbler and a Water Rail. Also three OTTERS. (Ian Ralphs). Also today two Mute Swans, two Canada Geese, 350 Wigeon, a Gadwall, 150 Teal, 20 Mallards, two Pintails, eight Shovelers, two Tufted Ducks, a Great White Egret, three Cormorants, a Buzzard; 20 Lapwings, a Song Thrush singing, five Redwings and ten Fieldfares. Upham Meadows     120 Canada Geese and 40 Greylags today. (Mike Smart).

Minchinhampton     Three Red Kites drifting over and two Buzzards circling higher seen from the primary school field at 11:45am. (Nikki Smith).

Tirley     At Haw Bridge at midday two Red Kites circling overhead. (John Fletcher).

My name is Mike King and have lived all my life in Gloucestershire. I am happiest birding around Frampton but I especially love Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
