Cleeve Hill At the top of the Washpool valley a male RING OUZEL foraging in shelter from scrub in a gale. Also two Buzzards, one carrying nesting material, 3/4 Ravens, a Song Thrush and a Mistle Thrush both singing, a few Yellowhammers and Linnets and Golden Plovers heard in flight. Forest of Dean In the woods N of New Fancy today, c30 Crossbills including a group of c12 including juveniles feeding on sycamore buds, two Nuthatches, a pair of Grey Wagtails, a Marsh Tit, c60 Siskins, a singing Blackcap and two singing Song Thrushes. (Chris Newton).

Cotswold Water Park East At Whelford Pools this morning six Swallows, two Sand Martins, 12 Shovelers, four Gadwalls, 43 Tufted Ducks, two Teal, three Red Crested Pochards, five Great Crested Grebes, four Mute Swans, 90 Black-headed Gulls, two Willow Warblers, Blackcaps, Chiffchaffs and two Jays and a Muntjac along the River Coln in Fairford.
