Cleeve Hill     At the top of the Washpool valley a male RING OUZEL foraging in shelter from scrub in a gale. Also two Buzzards, one carrying nesting material, 3/4 Ravens, a Song Thrush and a Mistle Thrush both singing, a few Yellowhammers and Linnets and Golden Plovers heard in flight. Still c15 Fieldfares on the approach to the masts. (Steve Brown/Les Ditchburn).

Berkeley shore     An adult KITTIWAKE flew fast up river late morning. (Neil Smart).

WWT Slimbridge     The GLOSSY IBIS put in a very brief appearance this afternoon viewed from Zeiss hide. (Terry Stevenson).

Forest of Dean    In the woods N of New Fancy today, c30 Crossbills including a group of c12 including juveniles feeding on sycamore buds, two Nuthatches, a pair of Grey Wagtails, a Marsh Tit, c60 Siskins, a singing Blackcap and two singing Song Thrushes. (Chris Newton).

Cotswold Water Park East    At Whelford Pools this morning six Swallows, two Sand Martins, 12 Shovelers, four Gadwalls, 43 Tufted Ducks, two Teal, three Red Crested Pochards, five Great Crested Grebes, four Mute Swans, 90 Black-headed Gulls, two Willow Warblers, Blackcaps, Chiffchaffs and two Jays and a Muntjac along the River Coln in Fairford. Coombe Hill Meadows     Two Swallows, a Little Ringed Plover and two Avocets this afternoon. (Ian Hull).

Ashleworth Ham     A Mute Swan, six Greylags, two Wigeon, a Gadwall, 50 Teal, 15 Mallards, five Shovelers and a Great White Egret. (Mike Smart).

Dowdeswell Reservoir     Two Siskins, two Little Grebes, four Buzzards, two Grey Wagtails and a Swallow today. (Josh Adamms).

Frampton     32 Fieldfares and three Siskins flew over the garden this morning. (Nick Goatman).

Southam     A Raven took bananas from the garden feeding station today. (Graham Ruffles).

My name is Mike King and have lived all my life in Gloucestershire. I am happiest birding around Frampton but I especially love Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
