WWT Slimbridge     A drake GREEN-WINGED TEAL on the Rushy lower pond at 8am, present throughout the day. Also at least six GARGANEYS on site today. (Martin McGill). Also a first-summer LITTLE GULL today. (Jonathan Bull). Two Little Ringed Plovers on the Rushy. (John Fletcher).

Coombe Hill Meadows     A SPOONBILL from 8:30-8:47am then flew off S. Also a Cuckoo showing well. (Jeremy Holland). Three Guineafowl in the brown stubble field by the bridge. (Dawn Ballinger).

Tewkesbury     At Lower Lode two Mute Swans, four Canada Geese, a Grey Heron, a Cormorant, a Great Crested Grebe, a Buzzard, 40 Lesser Black-backed/Herring Gulls, a Cuckoo, 5+ Sand Martins, two Redstarts, two Whitethroats, two Treecreepers and a Reed Bunting. (Mike Smart).

Minsterworth Ham     Five Canada Geese, five Mallards, a Peregrine with prey, two Curlews and a Whimbrel. (Mike Smart).

Frampton    Three Hobbies high over Court Lake this afternoon and two Common Terns on the Sailing Lake. (John Fletcher).

Saul Warth     Nine Bar-tailed Godwits, two Whimbrels, four Oystercatchers and a pair of Mandarins on the footpath to Hock Ditch. (Mark Hobson).

Painswick Beacon     434 Swifts N in 4 hours late afternoon. (John Fleming).

My name is Mike King and have lived all my life in Gloucestershire. I am happiest birding around Frampton but I especially love Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
