WWT Slimbridge    The WHITE-SPOTTED BLUETHROAT still at Middle Point today, it was seen by two visitors after a rain shower, when it showed well. (Slimbridge Sightings). Also today on South Lake two SPOONBILLS, two summer plumaged Spotted Redshanks and three male Ruffs in full breeding plumage. (Roberta Goodall).

Forest of Dean     An OSPREY over Kensley pools (the new pools created E of Woorgreens in Kensley Inclosure) harassed by a Buzzard and a gull at midday. (Rob Husbands).

Leighterton     Two Grey Partridges early morning. (Paul Rich).

Bagpath     A Barn Owl early morning. (Paul Rich).

Saul Warth     At high tide this morning 35 Avocets, 18 Oystercatchers, 65 Curlews, 50+ Shelducks, a Mute Swan on the river and a Painted Lady. (MK).

Cirencester     A pair of Grey Wagtails in the stream by the Open Air Swimming Pool today. (Felicity Cobb).

Hucclecote     This afternoon in the garden a male Sparrowhawk caught and ate a Sparrow. (Harold Smith).

My name is Mike King and have lived all my life in Gloucestershire. I am happiest birding around Frampton but I especially love Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
