Forest of Dean At Nagshead from Campbell hide, a Spotted Flycatcher, a Blackcap, three Firecrests (adult & 2 juvs), two Treecreepers, three Bullfinches (2 ads, 1 juv), Wrens, Blue and Great Tits and a Grey Wagtail. WWT Slimbridge Three GARGANEYS from Zeiss hide on the Top New Piece, two SPOONBILLS on the estuary, the juvenile Ruddy Shelduck (or hybrid) and a juvenile Mediterranean Gull on South Lake, 292 Black-tailed Godwits, two Spotted Redshanks, three Green Sandpipers and five Ruff on the Rushy today. Ashleworth Ham On a CES ringing session 92 birds caught including a Redstart, four Sedge Warblers, 30 Whitethroats, 12 Blackcaps, seven Chiffchaffs, a Willow Warbler, a Garden Warbler, three Reed Buntings, 11 Long-tailed Tits, a Treecreeper, a Goldfinch and five Bullfinches. On the reserve six Grey Herons, five Mallards, three Moorhens, a Red Kite and a Whimbrel. (Mike Smart).
