Epney     This morning the TURTLE DOVE  for its 13th day in gardens around the Anchor Inn again on and off throughout the day. Please park sensibly by the entrance opposite the seawall or on the road without blocking access and not in the pub unless you are using it. Also do not park in the private residents car park at Longney Crib. Thank you. (Tom Mabbett/Mark Leitch).

Roel Gate     Three QUAIL calling from a cornfield at 8:45am. (Mark Dowie).

Frampton    At least four Willow Warblers at Splatt Bridge this morning. (Gordon Hodgson). At the pools pools an adult Yellow-legged Gull, a Grey Wagtail, a Green Sandpiper, two Hobbies, a Goshawk, eight Common Terns, two Ravens, 20+Swifts, 30+ House Martins, 12 Swallows, a Kingfisher and nine Little Egrets. Coombe Hill Meadows     14 Little Egrets, five Grey Herons, two Snipe, seven Green Sandpipers, a Little Ringed Plover, a male Bullfinch, a Reed Warbler, a Sedge Warbler, six Pied Wagtails and five Yellow Wagtails. (Alan McIlquham/Paul Sutton).

Forest of Dean     At Nagshead from Campbell hide, a Spotted Flycatcher, a Blackcap, three Firecrests (adult & 2 juvs), two Treecreepers, three Bullfinches (2 ads, 1 juv), Wrens, Blue and Great Tits and a Grey Wagtail. (Alan Waterman). Probable Green Sandpiper in flight disturbed from dragonfly ponds at Woorgreens at 2:40pm and thought to have dropped into new pools E of the main lake. (Frank Williams).

Lineover Woods     Birds included Green Woodpecker, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Blackcaps, Goldcrests, a pair of Bullfinches, Goldfinches and two Spotted Flycatchers. Also Silver-washed Fritillaries. SO 98867 18823. (Jon Dexter).

WWT Slimbridge     Three GARGANEYS from Zeiss hide on the Top New Piece, two SPOONBILLS on the estuary, the juvenile Ruddy Shelduck (or hybrid) and a juvenile Mediterranean Gull on South Lake, 292 Black-tailed Godwits, two Spotted Redshanks, three Green Sandpipers and five Ruff on the Rushy today. Ashleworth Ham    On a CES ringing session 92 birds caught including a Redstart, four Sedge Warblers, 30 Whitethroats, 12 Blackcaps, seven Chiffchaffs, a Willow Warbler, a Garden Warbler, three Reed Buntings, 11 Long-tailed Tits, a Treecreeper, a Goldfinch and five Bullfinches. On the reserve six Grey Herons, five Mallards, three Moorhens, a Red Kite and a Whimbrel. Cheltenham    This evening at Pittville Park a juvenile Green Woodpecker and a Fox. (Alan McIlquham).
