Epney     Today the TURTLE DOVE for its 22nd day still in gardens behind the Anchor Inn at 6pm. Also a Stock Dove. Please park sensibly by the entrance opposite the seawall or on the road without blocking access and not in the pub unless you are using it. Thank you. (Emily Morozow).

Frampton     At the Sailing Lake early morning a Redshank on the Sailing Club jetty. Also a Yellow-legged Gull still, two Kingfishers, a Cetti’s Warbler, four Common Terns and 60+ Mute Swans. (MK). Later a Great Crested Grebe with two young, seven Common Terns, four Lesser Whitethroats, a Garden Warbler, two Ravens, eight House Sparrows, five Blackcaps and two Chiffchaffs. The Redshank was on Court Lake tonight on the top island on the S side. (Nick Goatman).

Saul Warth     Approaching high tide this morning 20 Avocets, ten Black-tailed Godwits, a Bar-tailed Godwit, three Redshanks, 25 Dunlins, 67 Curlews, eight Oystercatchers, nine Little Egrets, a female Marsh Harrier hunting, three Kestrels, 20 Goldfinches, some sunbathing, 3+ Chiffchaffs, a Willow Warbler and a Lesser Whitethroat. Eastleach     A pair of Grey Wagtails at the river bridge at midday today. Also heard calling Raven, Green Woodpecker, Nuthatch and juvenile Buzzard. (Alan Williams).

Cheltenham    Two Swifts very high over Oakley today at 5:30pm. (Howard Smith). At the Park Campus two female Mandarins, a Kingfisher and three Greylags. (Eric Harris).

Guscar Rocks     This morning 36 Canada Geese, four Bar-headed Geese and two Snow Geese, 310 Curlews and a Whimbrel. (Mike Smart).

Breadstone     In the woods 5-10 Spotted Flycatchers this morning. Also Long-tailed Tits, Great Spotted Woodpeckers, Swallows and a Nuthatch. (Mike Davis).

Dursley     A Red Kite over the town centre at 5pm. (Shane Long).

Daneway Banks     A Clouded Yellow butterfly today. (Dan Haines).

My name is Mike King and have lived all my life in Gloucestershire. I am happiest birding around Frampton but I especially love Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
