Saul Warth     An adult pale phase ARCTIC SKUA flew straight through Hock Ditch N at 8:45am. 680 Lapwings (5 flocks) and 100 Golden Plovers flew S, 30 Grey Plovers, 40 Dunlins, a Common Sandpiper, a Kestrel, a Sparrowhawk, four Cormorants, 19 Shelducks and 20 Wigeon, very few passerines in high winds. WWT Slimbridge     Almost certainly the same adult pale phase ARCTIC SKUA flew back down the river at 10:05am. A female RED-BREASTED MERGANSER landed on the river at 10:15am but didn’t settle and very quickly went back downriver. (Neil Smart). The first two BEWICK’S SWANS of the winter arrived on the Rushy this morning, the latest first arrival since 1965. (Slimbridge Sightings).

Sharpness     A KITTIWAKE N past SARA at 7:37am and a second bird at 7:39am. (Andy Jordan).

Whitminster     A Barn Owl over the roundabout early this morning. (Jamie Warren).

Lydney New Grounds     No sign of the Snow Bunting this morning but a male Stonechat, four Meadow Pipits, 45 Fieldfares and 20+ Redwings feeding with 100+ Starlings. (Steve Pullen).

Forest of Dean     At Nagshead three Hawfinches 1 seen and 2 heard nearby, six Lesser Redpolls, four Goldcrests and five Nuthatches. At Cannop ponds a Dipper and a Grey Wagtail in the stream near the car park, a Kingfisher heard, on and around the lakes, 35 Mandarins, two Little Grebes, three Gadwalls, four Wigeon, 16 Lesser Redpolls over, six Nuthatches, five Goldcrests and four Ravens. Witcombe Reservoirs     Five Goosanders (1m, 4f) seen flying off. Also c400 Woodpigeons. (Eric Harris).

Cotswold Water Park East     At Pit 132 at lunchtime 120 Lapwings, 72 Black-headed Gulls, 53 Mallards, 45 Redwings, 23 Fieldfares, ten Mute Swans, six Pochards, four Wigeon, two Tufted Ducks, a Green Sandpiper, a Red Kite, a Buzzard and a Kestrel. A Raven on Lechlade church spire. (Ian Sherriffs).

Painswick Beacon     Highlights from this morning 7am to 11am 7730 Woodpigeons, 48 Stock Dove, 1600 Redwings, 1120 Fieldfares, 120 Chaffinches, six Bramblings, ten Siskins, 124 Starlings and five Hawfinches. (John Fleming).

Damery     c50 Siskins and c50 Redwings along the Little Avon River this morning. (Vic Polley).
