WWT Slimbridge     From Middle Point nine adult Turnstones and two breeding plumage Red Knot this morning. A juvenile Goshawk flew low over car park towards the canal late afternoon. (Slimbridge Sightings). Three Spotted Redshanks on the Rushy. (Oliver Paisey).

Broadoak     A distant Yellow-legged Gull on the Arlingham side this evening. (Andy Jayne).

Sapperton     This morning at Siccaridge Wood birds included Great Spotted Woodpeckers, Nuthatch, Bullfinches, Long-tailed Tits, Goldcrest, Chiffchaff, plenty of House Martins over, three Swifts and a Swallow. Also a fresh Green-veined White butterfly. (Jon Dexter).

Ashleworth Ham     A CES ringing session today birds caught included four Redstarts, three Sedge Warblers, 21 Whitethroats, two Lesser Whitethroats, three Willow Warblers, five Chiffchaffs, 12 Long-tailed Tits, a Treecreeper, a Linnet, 11 Bullfinches and ten Reed Buntings. On the reserve a Grey Heron, two Ravens and two Roe Deer. (Mervyn Greening/Mike Smart).
