Shepherds Patch, Slimbridge      The drake COMMON SCOTER (3rd day) on the canal between patch bridge and Purton all day again attracting a steady stream of admirers. Nearer to Purton for most of the day. (Ken Hurcombe et al).

Sharpness    At 10:20am the male BLACK REDSTART on the ships masts. Also a flock of Greylags distantly flew N with 1-5 White-fronted Geese with them, four Reed Buntings, 30 Linnets, Wigeon and Peregrine. (Oliver Paisey).

Saul Warth     This morning an unexpected Oystercatcher flew S calling, the male WHEATEAR still around the sluice, also 29 Golden Plovers flew S, 12 Curlews, a Rock Pipit, 35 Meadow Pipits, three Stonechats, three Chiffchaffs, six Fieldfares, a Redwing and two Reed Buntings. (MK).

WWT Slimbridge    From the Estuary Tower two adult Dark-bellied Brent Geese on the Dumbles and 24 Russian White-fronted Geese and a Little Stint with Dunlins. The immature SPOONBILL on South Lake today. (Heather England/Roberta Goodall/Paul Masters).

Cirencester     A Kingfisher in the town centre this morning, along the River Churn by the open-air pool. (Jon Mercer).

Cheltenham    This morning nine Long-tailed Tits in the garden in Benhall. A Great Spotted Woodpecker drumming in Benhall Park. This afternoon at the Park Campus lake male and female Mandarins and a Grey Heron. (David Norman).

Frampton pools     A Hawfinch over, a Chiffchaff still singing, four Lesser Redpolls, two Siskins, 60+ Redwings, 30+ Fieldfares, two Reed Buntings, 30+ Meadow Pipits, two Skylarks, 20+ Chaffinches, 12 Pochards, eight Wigeon, 14 Shovelers, three Teal and a Red Admiral. (Nick Goatman).

Chavenage Lane area     140+ Fieldfares, 120+ Yellowhammers, three Red Kites, three Stonechats, 60+ Linnets, 60+ Goldfinches and at Barton End 250+ Golden Plovers. (Terry Grant).

Coombe Hill Meadows    10+ Mute Swans, 270 Greylags, 100 Canada Geese, 1200 Wigeon, four Gadwalls, 1000+ Teal, 50+ Mallards, 250 Pintails, 450 Shovelers, 15 Tufted Ducks, two Little Grebes, four Grey Herons, five Little Egrets, an immature Marsh Harrier, 40 Coots, five Water Rails, 300 Lapwings, a Dunlin, ten Snipe, two Black-tailed Godwits, two Curlews, a Redshank, a Lesser Black-backed Gull, five Black-headed Gulls, five Skylarks, a Mistle Thrush, five Fieldfares and 30 Redwings. Elmore Court     In the rewilding area on the scrape 15 Wigeon, 10+ Teal, four Gadwalls, at least 30 Mallards, two Little Grebes, a Little Egret, a Mute Swan and six Moorhens. Around the scrape a Kestrel, 2+ Snipe, four Stonechats, two Bullfinches, 12 Meadow Pipits, 50+ Redwings and 20+ Fieldfares. (Steve Pullen).

Moreton-in-Marsh     The first three Fieldfares of this autumn in the garden this afternoon at Draycott. (Sue Harrison).

Cotswolds     An escaped Scarlet Ibis yesterday between Bibury and Quenington at SP 12979 05573. (Catherine Zoraida). Record shots by Catherine.
