WWT Slimbridge      Four BEARDED TITS again in the reedbeds in front of the Shepherd’s Hut at 8:20am. (Mike Davis/Roy Kinchin). Also the WHITE-SPOTTED BLUETHROAT still. (Les Ditchburn). At Middle Point late morning a Grasshopper Warbler reeled briefly. On the South Lake a Spotted Redshank, six Ruff and eight Redshanks, on the Tack Piece six Green Sandpipers, a Great White Egret and six Common Cranes. (Steve Pullen). Saul Warth     At high tide at 7am a very early fresh fledged Wheatear, 90 Avocets, a Bar-tailed Godwit, ten Dunlins, 132+ Curlews, eight Oystercatchers, two Little Egrets, six Reed Buntings, four Sedge Warblers, four Whitethroats, a Lesser Whitethroat, two Chiffchaffs, two Swifts and 14 Swallows. Stroud     At Frome Banks nature reserve five Dippers including a juvenile, a Spotted Flycatcher, a Treecreeper, a Firecrest and a Muntjac. (Harrison Rowsell).

Cotswold Water Park East     At Whelford Pools on Pit 111 eight Red Crested Pochards, 34 Mallards, 14 Coots, four Great Crested Grebes (2ads, 2 chicks),a Mute Swan, a Little Egret, a male Blackcap, a Song Thrush singing and a Buzzard. On Pit 111b 41 Cormorants, two Tufted Ducks, two Treecreepers, two Great Crested Grebes and seven Mallards (2 ads, 5 ducklings). On Pit 111a five Red Crested Pochards (4 ads, 1 duckling), seven Greylags, 13 Coots, four Great Crested Grebes (2 ads, 2 chicks), male and female Bullfinch and two Mute Swans. On Pit 127 four Common Terns, five Great Crested Grebes (3 ads, 2 chicks), 23 Greylags, 31 Mallards, three Canada Geese, two Green Woodpeckers, a male Bullfinch and two Chiffchaffs. At Kempsford, at Pit 132 a Marsh Harrier, two Buzzards, two Lapwings, two Great White Egrets, two Little Egrets, three Green Sandpipers, a male Ruff, a Greenshank, 17 Lapwings, three Oystercatchers, 28 Mute Swans, two Bullfinches, three Song Thrushes and 13 Long-tailed Tits.
