WWT Slimbridge     A male MERLIN from the Estuary Tower at 2:40pm flew low carrying prey towards Zeiss hide. Also around the Trust today up to 2000 Golden Plovers, 1000 Dunlins, 25 Black-tailed Godwits, ten Snipe, ten Ruff, 44 Redshanks, a Spotted Redshank, a Green Sandpiper, two Marsh Harriers, a Sparrowhawk, a Peregrine, 4+ Chiffchaffs and a Blackcap. (Andy Jayne/Steve Rickard). A BITTERN from Van de Bovenkamp hide and a Spotted Redshank on the Tack Piece. (Slimbridge Sightings).

Gloucester     Yesterday the male BLACK REDSTART returned to Manu Marble Way in Linden. (per MK).

Saul Warth     Mid morning, no tide, 15 Curlews, eight Lapwings flew S, 60 Shelducks, four Grey Herons, a Great White Egret, three Little Egrets, a Common Gull, a Sparrowhawk, a Kestrel, a Chiffchaff, three Mistle Thrushes and four Meadow Pipits. (MK).

Cotswold Water Park East    A Marsh Harrier flew by the River Coln/Pit 104 this afternoon. Two Great White Egrets have been present on the River Coln with Cattle Egret and Little Egret during the past few months and two Kingfishers. (Jonathan Stebbing).

Ashleworth Ham     207 Mallards, 13 Wigeon, 22 Teal, two Shovelers, two Gadwalls, a male Pintail, two Snipe, a male Stonechat, three Chaffinches, seven Fieldfares, a Long-tailed Tit, two Grey Herons, a Peregrine and four Roe Deer today. (John Fletcher).
