WWT Slimbridge     A second-calendar year male MONTAGU’S HARRIER on the Dumbles from 8:30am showing very well until 10am when it flew N. It spent the rest of the day until early evening around Frampton 100-Acre and flashes and Saul Warth. (Ian Hull). Also today a Whimbrel on the river today, and around the grounds Yellow Wagtails, the Birdland escaped Greater Flamingo, a Wood Sandpiper, a Ruff, a Spotted Redshank and two Common Terns. Eastleach Downs     The first-summer LONG-TAILED SHRIKE present again today again along the minor road near https://maps.app.goo.gl/2DtRwdBHmTe3Wio89?g_st=iw . Also 15 Grey Partridges, a few Whinchats and a Clouded Yellow. (Adam Archer/Paul Sutton).

Long-tailed Shrike by Paul Sutton

Saul Warth     At high tide 40 Shelducks, 31 Avocets, three Oystercatchers, 16 Curlews, five Grey Herons, three Little Egrets, a Red Kite, a Buzzard, three Kestrels and 18 Swallows. (MK).

Frampton     Around the pools two Great White Egrets, a Hobby, a Whimbrel, Tufted Ducks with ducklings, Great Crested Grebes with chicks and three Common Terns. (Nick Goatman). From the towpath tonight two Whinchats, a Hobby, a Whimbrel and a Great White Egret. (Andy Jordan).

Cotswolds     At Chedworth Woods, along the road from Yanworth Mill towards Fosse Cross a family of 3/4 Spotted Flycatchers, 2/3 Coal Tits, two Bullfinches and a Buzzard. At Yanworth Mill c40 House Martins visiting nests and a juvenile Grey Wagtail from the bridge. Early along the track towards the Roman Villa three Spotted Flycatchers hunting from the fence, a Coal Tit dismantling a thistle seed head and both Nuthatches and Stock Doves heard. (Steve Brown).

Nailsworth     Four Swifts flying S and, in the garden, one of three young Sparrowhawks reared in a nearby nest, drinking and bathing in the garden pond. (Terry Grant).
