WWT Slimbridge     A MANX SHEARWATER flew upriver past Middle Point at 11am. It was not relocated and may have been taken by a Peregrine. (Paul Rich). Also four Garganeys on the Rushy and a Kingfisher from Martin Smith hide. (Steve Liptrot).

Sharpness     A FULMAR drifted up on the tide past the picnic site at 9:30am. (Oliver Paisey). It was later seen distantly from Middle Point.

Saul Warth     Between 6:30-12:30pm 81 Avocets, 133 Curlews, five Curlew Sandpipers, 150 Dunlins, 100 Ringed Plovers, two Turnstones, a Common Sandpiper, 190 Shelducks, a Peregrine, a Hobby, a Sparrowhawk, two Kestrels, two Great White Egrets, two Little Egrets, the escaped Greater Flamingo, 14 Swallows and five Stonechats. Much reduced numbers and variety of waders, only 16 Ringed Plovers roosted close today. (MK).

Frampton pools     This evening a Reed Warbler, a Lesser Whitethroat, 77 Swallows, 16 House Martins, six Sand Martins, a Green Sandpiper, an adult Yellow-legged Gull, a Stonechat and four Reed Buntings. (Nick Goatman).

Berkeley shore     On the WeBS count 35 Turnstones, 11 Dunlins, 24 Ringed Plovers, five Common Sandpipers and a Snipe all on the salt marsh south of the power station. 84 Mallards, two teal and 51 Redshanks at Berkeley Pill. Also five Yellow Wagtails, 30 Swallows,  a lae SWIFT, seven Reed Buntings, four Stonechats, a Cetti’s Warbler and two Whitethroats and three Clouded Yellows between the showers. (Jon Haw).
