Coombe Hill Meadows     This afternoon three Buzzards, two Kestrels, a Raven, two Grey Herons, 20+ Swallows, 6+ House Martins, a Green Woodpecker, two Reed Buntings, 6+ Linnets, 25+ Goldfinches, four Whinchats at the Snipe Pool and a Grey Wagtail. Also Migrant Hawkers and Southern Hawkers and three Willow Emerald Damselflies. (Paul Clark).

Frampton pools     A Green Sandpiper, a Common Sandpiper, 53 Robins, 90 Chiffchaffs, two Willow Warblers, 18 Blackcaps, seven Cetti’s Warblers, 13 Little Grebes, three Great Crested Grebes, one sat on a nest, 50+ Swallows, 50+ Sand Martins, 10+ House Martins, a Grey Wagtail and a Spotted Flycatcher. Nailsworth     A steady trickle of hirundines flying south throughout the day, with a flock of 40+ House Martins and 30+ Swallows this evening and a Swift flying north at 6:55pm. (Terry Grant). This evening a Ring-necked Parakeet flew west over the garden in Walkley Wood. (Jon Haw).

Cheltenham     A Spotted Flycatcher in Pittville Park  trying for smaller dragonflies on the boating lake at 1pm. (Steve Money).

WWT Slimbridge     From Middle Point, an OSPREY on a log at 4:15pm, 180 Dunlins, 230 Ringed Plovers, six Knot, six Turnstones, six Sanderlings, four Bar-tailed Godwits, five Ruff, a juvenile Curlew Sandpiper, two Redshanks, 34 Golden Plovers, five Grey Plovers, two SPOONBILLS, two Yellow Wagtails, a Whinchat, four Common Terns flew S and four Commic Terns on the mud. It returned to Robbie Garnett hide at 3:45pm, then flew out to the estuary at 4:15pm. Also the Tundra Bean Goose, of unknown origin, on South Lake. Sheepscombe     This afternoon at 4pm several pairs of House Martins still attending nests on a house. Also a Goshawk over with a Buzzard, a Kestrel and a Raven. Butterflies nearby on Sheepscombe Common included several each of Common Blue, Brown Argus, Small Copper and a Clouded Yellow. Cotswold Water Park East    At Whelford pools this afternoon on Pit 111 11 Red Crested Pochards, a Kingfisher, two Great Crested Grebes, five Tufted Ducks, two Coots, two Moorhens and a Reed Warbler. On Pit 111a 55 Coots, three Great Crested Grebes (1 juv), seven Mallards and two Mute Swans. On Pit 111b 16 Cormorants, five Tufted Ducks, eight Coots, two Great Crested Grebes and five Moorhens. Berkeley shore     Between 1:30-3:30pm 47 Turnstones roosting, three Wheatears, two Common Sandpipers, eight Oystercatchers, four Curlews, three Canada Geese, 24 Mallards, 12 Yellow Wagtails, four Skylarks, 12 Linnets and a Budgerigar flying S. (Thomas McClung).

Kingscote     At least three Hobbies, one adult bird chasing off at great speed a female Goshawk and then a Buzzard. Also a LESSER SPOTTED WOODPECKER, four Ravens, three Red Kites, four Buzzards, a Sparrowhawk and two Kestrels. (Terry Grant).

Frampton pools     Around the pools two Hobbies, five Swifts, 50+ Sand Martins, 20+ Swallows, 20+ House Martins, a Wigeon, six Teal, 29 Gadwalls, 18 Tufted Ducks, 45 Robins, a singing Willow Warbler, 59 Chiffchaffs, 19 Blackcaps, 14 Goldcrests, four Treecreepers, five Coal Tits, a Green Sandpiper and a Common Sandpiper. From Splatt Bridge today, plenty of warblers flitting about in the hedgerows, a juvenile Redstart, eight Yellow Wagtails, a Greenshank heard, a Tree Pipit, a Hobby, a Peregrine and ten Cattle Egrets.
