Frampton pools     A Great White Egret, seven Chiffchaffs, two Cetti’s Warblers, eight Siskins, 54 Pied Wagtails, 221 Coots, 26 Greylags, 11 Great Crested Grebes, 28 Cormorants, 23 Moorhens, the adult Yellow-legged Gull, 103 Tufted Ducks, 35 Gadwalls, ten Wigeon, 16 Shovelers, six Teal and a Water Rail today. Saul Warth     At high tide a redhead Goosander, a scarce patch bird, 27 Shelducks, 67 Curlews, a Common Sandpiper, 90 Lapwings S in three flocks, five Dunlins, a Little Egret, a Peregrine, a Kestrel, a Buzzard, a Sparrowhawk, a pair of Ravens, 23 Meadow Pipits, a Reed Bunting and two Stonechats. Sharpness     Birds today included a Cetti’s Warbler calling in gardens, the pair of Peregrines, the male caught prey, two Red Kites, three Great Black-backed Gulls, three Wigeon, two Curlews, two Chaffinches, 22 Linnets, 15 Goldfinches and 19 Cormorants. (Oliver Paisey).

Cassey Compton     5+ Red Kites, three Buzzards, a Peregrine on a distant pylon, ten Long-tailed Tits, two Marsh Tits, a Coal Tit, small numbers of Fieldfares and Redwings. Also both a Mistle Thrush and a Song Thrush singing and 1000+ Woodpigeons and a few Stock Doves. (Steve Brown).

Berkeley shore     WeBS count this morning birds included 48 Wigeon, 157 Mallards, six Teal, 26 Redshanks, 35 Lapwings, three Snipe, 57 Dunlins, a Common Sandpiper, 43 Common Gulls, a Peregrine on the power station, a Chiffchaff, 30+ Meadow Pipits, a Rock Pipit and two Ravens. (Jon Haw).

Westbury-on-Severn     A SIBERIAN CHIFFCHAFF again today at Westbury STW. Confirmed as tristis as it was recorded singing https://xeno-canto.org/955351  There is a public right of way along the east side of the STW, and it is associating with the border fence line, occasionally popping up into the pine trees.(Dan Watson).

Forest of Dean     At Cannop Ponds three Ravens, three Jays, six Nuthatches, eight Chaffinches, two Coal Tits, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Song Thrush, a Dipper, two pairs of Wigeon, two Mute Swans, three Little Grebes, 42 Mallards, a pair of Mandarins, 11 Tufted Ducks, nine Moorhens and c20 Coots. Gloucester     WeBS count at Horsebere Brook FSA birds included two Mute Swans, nine Mallards, five Teal, a Grey Heron, a Cormorant, two Moorhens, two Coots, four Stonechats and a Greenfinch. (Gord Avery).

Witcombe Reservoirs     WeBS count today birds included two pairs of Mute Swans, 339 Mallards, 16 Tufted Ducks, a Little Grebe, four Great Crested Grebes, five Cormorants, nine Moorhens, five Coots, a Buzzard and three Bullfinches. (Gord Avery).

Saul Warth     This morning post-high tide 25 Shelducks, a female Pintail, 19 Curlews, a Green Sandpiper, a Little Egret, a Peregrine, a Kestrel, three Buzzards, 30 Fieldfares, 15 Redwings, 12 Meadow Pipits, six Pied Wagtails, a Stonechat and two Chiffchaffs. (MK).

Halmore     A MERLIN flying low and fast over fields and heading south across Slimbridge Lane, a patch tick. Amberley     At Theescombe Lane today both male and female Blackcaps on garden feeders. Three Red Kites circling together low over the field opposite late morning. 40+ Goldfinches gathering in the top of an ash tree before dropping down to roost in a laurel hedge. (Phil Williams).

Gloucester    At Sudmeadow in the plantation this morning a small flock of tits with three Chiffchaffs and a Goldcrest amongst them. Also a Buzzard around. (Gordon Avery).

Also 11 Cattle Egrets, ten Avocets and a female Goldeneye. A Water Rail at Willow hide. The Little Stint still on the Dumbles and six Ruff on the Tack Piece today. Haw Bridge     Eight Egyptian Geese today on the flood bank. (Robin Lewis).

Cotswold Water Park West     This morning on Pit 44, 15+Red Crested Pochards and a drake Goldeneye, on Pit 57, eight Goosanders, six Cormorants and 30+ Canada Geese dropped in. At Shorncote the hide inaccessible as the footpath was flooded but three Water Rails heard and a Cetti’s Warbler. (Steve Pullen).

Frampton pools     At lunchtime a SIBERIAN CHIFFCHAFF, three Chiffchaffs, a Reed Bunting, the adult Yellow-legged Gull, a Great White Egret, 46 Shovelers, 24 Wigeon and six male Pochards. (Nick Goatman).

Forest of Dean     Two Dippers at Cannop ponds and two Marsh Tits at the feeders, also four Treecreepers and four Ravens. At Woorgreens 12 Crossbills, six Siskins and four Bullfinches feeding in the trees next to the lake. Seven Goosanders (3m, 4 redheads), two Cormorants and a Grey Heron on the lake. Forest of Dean     At Cannop ponds three Goosanders on lower pond (1m, 2f), on upper pond, numerous Mallards, Mandarins, ten Tufted Ducks, three Little Grebes, two Ravens and a Grey Wagtail. (Alan Waterman).

Coombe Hill Meadows     Viewed from the northern (Apperley) side. The water is right up to the carpark (though not very deep at the Wharf), but there is no hope of reaching the Grundon hide for many days yet (the floodwater is just below the floor level of the hide). Birds included two Mute Swans, 175 Canada Geese, c2000 Wigeon, c1000 Teal, 50 Mallards, 145+ Pintails, 50+ Shovelers, 55 Tufted Ducks, 3+ Coots, three Pied Wagtails, 20 Fieldfares and 20 Redwings.
