North Cerney     A QUAIL calling before 7:15am at the junction of Chapel Lane and the farm track, also three Corn Buntings, a Bullfinch, several Yellowhammers, a Red Kite, a Buzzard and a Great Spotted Woodpecker. (Steve Brown). Later today 2-3 QUAIL at the same spot this evening. Additional to earlier reports a Whitethroat and a Grey Heron flew over. (Richard Williams/Ken Hurcombe/David Creber). Also this morning a QUAIL calling from the field below the cricket pitch on the other side of the valley. (Terry Fenton).

WWT Slimbridge     At 9am two juvenile BITTERNS showing at the end of the pillbox reedbed viewed from Estuary Tower. (Mike Davis). This afternoon a Spotted Redshank and a Green Sandpiper from Zeiss hide. Also a Green Sandpiper on the Tack Piece and a BITTERN out in the grass from Estuary Tower. (Steve Pullen).

Gloucester     The male BLACK REDSTART still singing from the top of Kings Walk car park in the city centre this morning, then seen briefly on Lloyds Bank rooftop a short while later. viewed from New Inn Lane. (Steve Pullen).

Forest of Dean     At Nagshead a pair of Hawfinches, a Crossbill, nine Spotted Flycatchers, three Firecrests, four Nuthatches, a female Redstart and a Mandarin. (Oliver Paisey).

Saul Warth     At 6:45am, no tide, 56 Avocets, 30 Black-tailed Godwits, 21 Curlews, nine Oystercatchers, 223 Shelducks, three Little Egrets, four Kestrels, three Swallows, four Skylarks, two Grey Wagtails and a Lesser Whitethroat. Also six Marbled Whites, a Small Tortoiseshell and two Thick-legged Flower Beetles. (MK).

Foss Cross     Two Grey Partridges this morning. (Ken Hurcombe).

Rendcomb     Two fledgling Grey Wagtails attended by the adults, a Bullfinch, a Green Woodpecker, two Ravens and a Red Kite. (Steve Brown).

Cowley     Between the river bridge and Park Farm a Firecrest, a Treecreeper, a Spotted Flycatcher, a Coal Tit and a Grey Wagtail. (Steve Brown).

Prestbury     At 3:45pm today a Redshank flew over calling. (Ken Heron).
