Saul Warth 6:15-10am very rough over high tide 70 Avocets, 162 Curlews, two Knots, four Curlew Sandpipers, a Little Stint, three Sanderlings, 250 Dunlins, 150 Ringed Plovers, a Turnstone, a Common Sandpiper, 194 Shelducks, a Peregrine, a Sparrowhawk, two Kestrels, two Little Egrets, nine Grey Herons, a Common Crane and the escaped Greater Flamingo. WWT Slimbridge An OSPREY flew over the river south before cutting in towards South Finger at 10:50am. (Oliver Paisey). From Zeiss Hide over high tide a large mixed flock of mainly Dunlins and Ringed Plovers along with nine Knots, at least ten Sanderlings, five Curlew Sandpipers, two Little Stints and a Curlew. 75 Avocets along the Dumbles edge. Cotswold Water Park West Four BLACK TERNS flew over Pit 57 at 9:40am. (David Creber).
Coombe Hill Meadows WeBS count today, the canal at the wharf, Snipe Pool and Long Pool all completely dry. Two Teal, eight Mallards, 14 Moorhens, two Buzzards, 14 Stock Doves, six Swallows, six Yellow Wagtails and four Chiffchaffs. (Mike Smart & Shaun Curtis).
