Forest of Dean     At least 18 Crossbills over Yew Tree Brake today. (Frank Williams).

WWT Slimbridge     78 Avocets around the scrapes this morning. (@slimbridge_wild).

Frampton    A Nightingale singing in the wash pool area this evening. Also three Yellow Wagtails, a few Swifts and four Common Terns.

Longney     Five Yellow Wagtails in the corn at Longney Crib (4 males) and a Cuckoo singing over the other side of the river. (Jeremy Squire).

Frampton Mansell     A male Yellow Wagtail this afternoon  along the track heading W parallel to the A419. Also a Red Kite flew over and circled the area for a few minutes. (Martine Fenn).

Stonehouse     A Red Kite flew over high at Bridgend at 3:25pm and headed E towards Selsley. (Paul Sutton).

Corse     A Red Kite over Greenfields/Shotts Farm today. (Steve French). At Woorgreens today there were three Cuckoos, a Whitethroat, two pairs of Stonechats and a white Fallow Deer. (Gavin Black). Tirley    A Hobby over the garden today. (Mark Grieve).

Tewkesbury     A singing Willow Warbler at back of Morrison’s on Rope Walk today. (Peter Long).

Edge      Birds today included two Mistle Thrushes, two Swallows, five Skylarks, three Greenfinches, four Linnets and three Buzzards. (John Fletcher).

Brookthorpe     Along Upton Lane six Linnets, seven Swallows and a male Sparrowhawk. (John Fletcher).

My name is Mike King and have lived all my life in Gloucestershire. I am happiest birding around Frampton but I especially love Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
