Awre     50+ Common or Arctic Terns struggling downriver into the wind, an adult Mediterranean Gull on the foreshore and a juvenile ARCTIC SKUA moving downriver on the Slimbridge side at 11:15am. (Andy Jayne).

Coombe Hill Meadows    Six Grey Herons, a female Wheatear, seven Teal, a juvenile Cormorant, c80 Lapwings, six Little Egrets, a Kestrel, Swallows and House Martins, c20 Meadow Pipits, a female Shoveler, c20 Long-tailed Tits, a pair of Bullfinches and a Greenfinch. Other sightings included Small White, Speckled Wood and Comma butterflies, Common Darters, Emerald Damselfly and Migrant Hawker. (Chris & Phil Andrews).

Winstone     Three Red Kites circling over Winstone this afternoon. (Michael Cook).

Duntisbourne     50+ House Sparrows dusting at a farm near Duntisbourne. (Michael Cook).

Frampton Mansell     Seven Golden Plovers in a turned field near Frampton Mansell this morning and two Buzzards in the same field. Nearby 40+ House Martins feeding on a greenfly hatch over Old Bussage this evening. (Michael Cook).

Cleeve Hill     Two Wheatears in the field by the Radio Masts car park today. (Roy Shilham).

Severn Springs     Two Ravens over today. (Mark Grieve).

Norton     250 Linnets on wires over stubble today. (Mark Grieve).

My name is Mike King and have lived all my life in Gloucestershire. I am happiest birding around Frampton but I especially love Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
