Cotswold Water Park West     This afternoon at Shorncote Reedbed a Little Egret, four Water Rails heard, 35 Teal, five Shovelers, two Snipe, 40 Lapwings, two Buzzards, a Green Woodpecker, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, three Meadow Pipits, 15 Pied Wagtails, a Grey Wagtail, two pairs of Stonechats, c200 mixed Fieldfares and Redwings, four Cetti’s Warblers calling, a pair of Bullfinches and eight Reed Buntings. Frampton pools     Late afternoon two CATTLE EGRETS, 14 Little Egrets, a Goshawk, a first-winter male Goldeneye, an adult Yellow-legged Gull, 98 Tufted Ducks, 31 Gadwalls, six Shovelers and six Wigeon. (Nick Goatman).

Coombe Hill Meadows     Seven Mute Swans, 395 Greylags, six Canada Geese, 190 Wigeon, 100 Teal, two Gadwalls, 20 Mallards, three Grey Herons, a Little Egret, two Buzzards, a Sparrowhawk, seven Coots, a Water Rail in Broadmere, 12 Lapwings, a Great Spotted Woodpecker drumming, three Skylarks, five Meadow Pipits, eight Pied Wagtails, 150 Fieldfares and 50 Redwings roosting in hedges. Symonds Yat     From Yat Rock viewpoint the resident Peregrines and an intruding Peregrine, a female Sparrowhawk, which was attacked by the Peregrines, two Buzzards, two Ravens, Long-tailed Tits, Redwings, four Song Thrushes, a Goldcrest, a Treecreeper, two Jays, a pair of Mandarins, two Fallow Deer and a Bank Vole today. Coates     On the canal towpath at Tunnel House this afternoon a mixed flock of finches including several Bramblings, Chaffinches, Redpolls, Goldfinches working through the tree canopy. (Michael Cook).
