WWT Slimbridge     A BITTERN from Kingfisher hide but elusive. Also today a Little Stint still on the Rushy, two Marsh Harriers, a Peregrine, a Water Rail from Zeiss hide,  Water Rail, eight Gadwalls, 268 Lapwings, a Little Grebe and bathing White-fronted Geese from Robbie Garnett hide. Frampton pools     A first-winter male Goldeneye, 36 Gadwalls, 110 Tufted Ducks, six Pochards, 1000+ Teal, a Chiffchaff, two Grey Wagtails, 20 Lapwings and 1000’s of Fieldfares and Redwings. Saul Warth     75 Dunlins, two Redshanks, a Rock Pipit and a Chiffchaff at Saul Warth this morning. (Gordon Hodgson). Also a Green Sandpiper in a drainage ditch along the River Frome in Saul. (Greg Anderson).

Cheltenham     A Red Kite low east over Benhall this morning. (Ian Ralphs).

My name is Mike King and have lived all my life in Gloucestershire. I am happiest birding around Frampton but I especially love Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
