WWT Slimbridge     A first-summer LITTLE GULL on the Rushy this lunchtime. This morning two summer plumaged Grey Plovers and three Sanderlings on the river off of Mid Point. (Slimbridge Sightings).

Coombe Hill Meadows     A WOOD SANDPIPER this morning. (Graham Smith).

May Hill     A Wood Warbler singing in Bearfoot Wood close to the May Hill water tank. (Gillian Guest).

Rodborough     A Wood Warbler by Winstones Ice cream shop on the Common this afternoon. (Eric Palmer).

Forest of Dean     4-5 Crossbills at Yew Tree Brake, a male Pied Flycatcher at Speech House (across the road down to New Fancy View) and a Dipper on the stream by the Fountain Inn at Parkend. (Adrienne Sanders).

Lasborough     A singing Corn Bunting beside the Bowldown Road between Westonbirt and Lasborough at ST 83473 93193 NW of Bowldown Farm at 7:30pm. (MK). Pic by Mike.

Prestbury Hill Reserve     On a Butterfly Conservation walk  today Duke of Burgundy, Green Hairstreak, Dingy Skipper, Small Blue and Small Heath butterflies, also a Buzzard, a Redstart, a Tree Pipit and two Cuckoos singing mid distance. (Steve Brown).

Hempsted     Two Red Kites over the landfill/recycling centre this afternoon at 2:30pm. (Janet Datchens).

Cheltenham     At Naunton Park a Sparrowhawk over today. (Steve Brown).

My name is Mike King and have lived all my life in Gloucestershire. I am happiest birding around Frampton but I especially love Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
