Cotswold Water Park East At Pit 111 birds included three Goosanders, two Goldeneyes, 11 Tufted Ducks, a male Shoveler, a Kingfisher, eight Cormorants, nine Greylags, two Mute Swan, two Chiffchaffs, two Goldcrests, three Redwings, 11 Fieldfares, six Long-tailed Tit and two Great Spotted Woodpeckers. At Pit 111a 59 Coots, 27 Tufted Ducks and a Great Crested Grebe. At Pit 125 62 Gadwalls, 52 Teal, 45 Tufted Ducks, two Red Crested Pochards, three Pochards, four Great Crested Grebes, a Grey Heron, a Green Woodpecker and four Mute Swans. (John Fletcher). Forest of Dean In the forest walks at Blaize Bailey at midday a flock of 60+ Chaffinches and Bramblings, evenly mixed. Also, in an ash tree next to the garden 20 Siskins and in the garden four Great Spotted Woodpeckers. (Peter Boorman & Lynne Mayers).
Horsley This morning on farmland near Horsley tip (ST8198) for EWBS, 28 species including Skylark, Chaffinch, Goldfinch, Greenfinch, Linnet, Reed Bunting and Yellowhammer and 142 Rooks and 33 Stock Doves. (Dave Emery).
