Gloucester     Up to 11 WAXWINGS on the crest of the Wheatway with the junction of the Ash Path near Morrisons, Abbeydale for most of the day. Also seen in nearby roads Drivemoor and Kinmoor. Please respect the residents privacy and park safely in a side road. Do not park on the Wheatway it is a fast and potentially dangerous road. (Sam Walker et al). Ashleworth Ham     The YELLOW-BROWED WARBLER in Meerend Thicket either behind the hide or in the trees either side of the hide again today. It can be elusive, is almost always solitary and only calls very infrequently. (Paul Masters/Les Ditchburn/Colin Greenfield/Tom Mabbett).

Coombe Hill Meadows     A MERLIN flew across the water close to Grundon hide at 4pm. (Les Ditchburn). Probably the same bird seen earlier at Ashleworth. (Tom Mabbett).

Highnam Woods     Mid afternoon birds included five Marsh Tits, two Great Spotted Woodpeckers, a Nuthatch, nine Chaffinches, six Coal Tits and two Buzzards. (John Fletcher). Pic by John.

Winchcombe     A Kingfisher on the River Isbourne this morning. (Peter Rodgers).

WWT Slimbridge    At midday the Dark-bellied Brent Goose with the Canada Goose flock, viewable very distantly looking SW from Holden Tower feeding near the Royal Drift/Purton end. Also two Avocets on South Lake. (Slimbridge Sightings).

Frampton    Two Great White Egrets on Court Lake tonight. Also two Chiffchaffs, a Blackcap and a female Goldeneye. (Jeremy Squire). Also today the Yellow-legged Gull, two Pochards, 72 Teal, three Wigeon, 35 Gadwalls, a Great Spotted Woodpecker drumming, three Nuthatches and 80+ Redwings. (Nick Goatman).

Forest of Dean    Several Hawfinches at Parkend, a Firecrest at Nagshead and a Dipper flying up the road in front of the car near Whitecroft. (Michael Hutchinson).
