Tewkesbury     A Great White Egret took off from the Glos side of the Avon, heading up river towards Twyning this afternoon. (Sarah Loaring).

Selsley     Two Bramblings with c30 Chaffinches at the S end of the Common today. (Simon Spedding).

Frampton     Three Bramblings on the garden feeders today. (Gordon Kirk).

Cirencester     14 Yellowhammers in the garden at Stratton today. (Ken Cservenka).

Highnam     At Linton Farm SO 8018, 35 Mallards, a Buzzard, three Snipe flushed from crop and a big mixed flock of Woodpigeons and at least 150 Stock Doves and c20 Yellowhammers on game crop. (Mike Smart).

Stanley Downton/Stonehouse    This afternoon a female Kestrel hunting from a tree along the Frome and a Dipper under the same tree. Two Jays, a Buzzard and several Redwings in the same area. A Cormorant on a pylon near Church End. Three Little Grebes together and a fourth further along on same stretch of canal between The Ocean and Bonds Mill. (Paul Sutton).

Cam     A garden Snipe this afternoon. (Neil Smart).

My name is Mike King and have lived all my life in Gloucestershire. I am happiest birding around Frampton but I especially love Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
